Born in the mid ‘80s, I became fascinated by the digital world early on. Diving into the internet during the ‘90s — a glorious time when frames, tables and animated GIFs were still cool — I spent hours on building websites (first in GeoCities and later in HTML and CSS) and designing all kinds of stuff.
At the same time, I developed a passion for craftsmanship. In my early teenage years I took up goldsmithing lessons and directly got hooked. Forging, sawing, filing, soldering, polishing: I was pretty good at it. It turned into a hobby; I had no idea there was a formal education in the Netherlands.
Both passions became my work. In 2010 I completed the goldsmith education at the Vocational School for Gold- and Silversmiths in Schoonhoven by traditionally completing an apprenticeship: creating my masterpiece. Two years later, I started studying Communication & Multimedia Design at The Hague University of Applied Sciences. I earned my Bachelor of Science in 2016 with a 9.

When I’m not behind a screen or workbench you’d most probably find me among birds. I’m a huge lover of birds (a birdnerd). I do voluntary work at a bird sanctuary and petting zoo, tremendously enjoy birdwatching and take care of my own feathered friends.
